About this tool

This converter turns a JSON array of objects into CSV with a header row, and parses CSV back into a JSON array, quoting commas, quotes and line breaks correctly.

How to use it

  1. Paste a JSON array into the JSON box, or CSV into the CSV box.
  2. Click JSON → CSV or CSV → JSON.
  3. Copy the output or click Download to save it as a file.

Good to know

  • For JSON → CSV, the input must be an array of objects; the keys of the first object become the column headers.
  • Values containing commas, double quotes or line breaks are wrapped in quotes, and quotes are doubled, following RFC 4180.
  • CSV → JSON uses the first row as keys and turns each following row into an object.
  • Nested objects and arrays are not flattened into separate columns.

Runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded or stored.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I get 'Input must be a JSON array of objects'?

The converter expects a list like [{"name":"A"},{"name":"B"}]. Wrap a single object in [ ] to convert it.

What happens to keys that only some objects have?

Columns come from the first object's keys. Keys that appear only in later objects are not included, and missing values become empty cells.

Can I open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. Download the file and open or import it; the quoting follows the standard CSV format these apps understand.

Is my data uploaded?

No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser.
