Good to know

  • camelCase starts lowercase and capitalises each following word (myVariableName); PascalCase capitalises every word (MyVariableName).
  • snake_case joins lowercase words with underscores; CONSTANT_CASE does the same in uppercase.
  • kebab-case joins lowercase words with hyphens and is common in URLs and CSS class names.
  • When converting to programming cases, existing camelCase, hyphens, underscores and dots are split into separate words first.

Runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded or stored.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between camelCase and PascalCase?

camelCase starts with a lowercase letter (userName), PascalCase with an uppercase one (UserName). PascalCase is typical for class names, camelCase for variables in JavaScript.

Which case should I use in URLs?

kebab-case (lowercase words separated by hyphens) is the usual choice for readable URLs.

Does Title Case follow AP or Chicago rules?

No. It capitalises the first letter of every word, including short words like 'and' or 'of'.

Is my text sent to a server?

No. Conversion happens in your browser.
