The Image Color Extractor samples the pixels of an uploaded image (or an image URL) and returns its 10 most dominant colors as a palette.
How to use it
- Upload an image file, or paste an image URL and click Load URL.
- Wait a moment while the image is sampled.
- Copy the hex codes of the dominant colors you want.
Good to know
- The image is scaled down to 80 × 80 px and sampled, which makes extraction fast.
- Similar colors are grouped by rounding each RGB channel to steps of 32.
- Transparent pixels are ignored.
- Some image URLs cannot be read because of browser cross-origin (CORS) rules; download the image and upload it instead.
- Uploaded files are read locally with the FileReader API and never sent to a server.
