About this tool

This discount calculator shows the sale price and the amount you save for any original price and discount percentage from 0% to 95%.

How to use it

  1. Choose your currency and enter the original price.
  2. Drag the slider to the discount percentage.
  3. Read the sale price and how much you save.

Good to know

  • Savings = original price × discount % ÷ 100.
  • Sale price = original price − savings.
  • Example: 25% off 80 saves 20, for a sale price of 60.
  • Two discounts stack multiplicatively: 20% off and then another 10% off is 28% off in total, not 30%.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate a discount?

Multiply the price by the discount percentage and divide by 100 to get the savings, then subtract that from the original price. 25% off 80 is 80 − 20 = 60.

How do I combine two discounts?

Apply them one after the other. 20% off 100 is 80, and another 10% off 80 is 72 — a combined 28% discount.

How do I find the original price from a sale price?

Divide the sale price by (1 − discount ÷ 100). A 60 sale price at 25% off came from 60 ÷ 0.75 = 80.

Does the calculator include sales tax?

No. It works on the price you enter; add tax separately if it applies after the discount.
